Sponsored Cycle for Lauren Connor

Me and my friends Andy and Craig decided it's time for an adventure. It's time to raise money for someone who deserves it and we decided it was time for a sponsored cycle. We are going to cycle from Coatbridge, Lanarkshire to a little village called Dornoch, Sutherland. The distance between Coatbridge, a little town in central Scotland and Dornoch, a little village in the north of Scotland is 226 miles. It will take longer because we are restricted to A Roads on bikes. The reason for this trip being a sponsored adventure is becasue we have very little to none cycling experience and we have a week to plan this route. We are going to buy all of the nessicary equipment with our own money. All money raised will go to a very inspiring girl called Lauren Connor who will be voulenteering in the poorly resourced country of Costa Rica. This event is to help provide money to sponsor her to build schools/homes or conserve threatened rainforest or help protect endangered species or possibly to teach third world children English! She is doing all this in August of 2010 which is only 4 months away! and any money given is greatly appreciated. Lauren is doing this with the guidance and help of the international Student Voulenteers who are recognised as one of the highest rated Voluntour organizations in the world.
